Clinical Pilates
Instructor-led control and strength work that turns a pain-free range into a resilient one.
What it is
Clinical Pilates is not a fitness class. It is a structured, individually prescribed programme of control and strength work, taught one-to-one and progressed against your examination findings. Manual therapy can restore range quickly; what stops the problem returning is the capacity to control and load that range. This is the part of the plan that builds it, and it is usually where an episode is finally closed out.
What a session looks like
- 01Assessment of control, not just strength: finding where the movement leaks.
- 02A small number of exercises taught precisely, with hands-on correction.
- 03Progression each session against a measure, so you can see it moving.
- 04A home programme short enough that you will actually do it.
Other treatments
- Manual TherapyPrecise hands-on mobilisation that gives stiff, guarded joints their range back.
- Dry NeedlingFine needles into the trigger point, for deep pain surface work cannot reach.
- NeurodynamicsRestoring glide in nerves that have become sensitised or entrapped.
- Therapeutic TapingKeeps the correction working long after the session ends.
- Aqua TherapyBuoyancy takes the load off, so you move far earlier.
