K-tape
Therapeutic Taping
Support, offloading and postural cueing that keeps working long after you leave the clinic.
What it is
Taping extends a session into the rest of your week. Kinesiology tape is elastic, and is used to cue posture, support a tired structure and give the area constant feedback as you move. Rigid tape is used where a joint genuinely needs to be limited for a period, such as an ankle returning to sport. Tape is an adjunct: it buys comfort and confidence while the strengthening work does the actual repair.
What a session looks like
- 01A skin check, and a small patch test if you have not been taped before.
- 02The area is positioned and taped for its specific job: offload, support or cue.
- 03You move with it on, so you can feel whether it is doing what it should.
- 04Instructions for how long to keep it on, and how to remove it comfortably.
